Gerade im FBautomata gesehen: ein fast fertiges Modell, das als Bausatz für Fortgeschrittene dienen kann. Es ist vom Timberkits-Gründer und Automata-Designer Eric Williamson entwickelt worden.
Luise in the office here at Timberkits HQ comes from Scunthorpe and apparently when they are impressed with something they say “That’s a mug’s eyeful!” I am utterly baffled by this phrase but it sounds great when she says it and I think it must apply to this beautiful Traction Engine designed by Eric Williamson and nearing completion. This should keep a few of the more dedicated model makers busy for a while… Hopefully it will be on our shelves in time for Christmas! ?

Die Wiege von Timberkits in Wales ist die Ausflugsattraktion „Machinations Visitor Center“, die auch eine Kollektion von Automata enthält. Ich fand noch ein fast 30 Jahre altes Heft von Woodworking Today in meiner Mediensammlung mit einer Titelgeschichte von E.Williamson:
