Brett King teilt uns mit, daß die früher hier schon genannte Idee einer Zusammenkunft
vieler Automata-Künstler, -Sammler und Liebhaber nun fest terminiert ist und im Morris Mmuseum, Morristown, NJ,(Großraum New York) am 18. und 19.März 2016 stattfinden soll. Brett King schreibt dazu:
AutomaCon is a new convention for automaton makers, collectors, and enthusiasts. It is a two day event being held March 18th and 19th, 2016 at the Morris Museum in Morristown, New Jersey, home of the Murtogh D. Guinness Collection of Mechanical Musical Instruments and Automata. The goal of the convention is to gather people from around the world to share ideas, build relationships, and grow interest in automata. The convention will include a variety of private and public programming, such as social gatherings, museum tours, panel discussions, live demonstrations, workshops, presentations, and an exhibition. Additional details, such as attendee costs and hotel accommodations, will be made available in the near future.

2) ROBOT-THEATRE International Theatre Festival, 2017, Russland
Ellen Rixford teilt uns heute mit, daß dieses Ereignis der Puppen- und Figurentheaterszene
am 6.-14.Juni 2017 in Moskau und St.Petersburg stattfinden soll, nachdem sie folgende Nachricht
von Dr.Boris Goldovsky aus Moskau bekommen hat:
« Moscow State Puppet Theatre and the International Theatre Agency p lay&play would like to announce the First Russian International Theatre Festival ROBOTTHEATER taking place in Moscow and St Petersburg from June 6th-14th, 201 7 . The Festival is open to all interested theatre companies, which use mechanical puppets and robots (automatons) as characters in their dramatic, musical, puppetry and variety shows. The program also includes exhibitions of mechanical puppets and theatres as well as working entertainment robots made between the 17th – 21st centuries. Deadline for applications is October 1st 2015 » .
