I made two versions for them (one as a caricature of the client), and I made a third version for my own collection. I wanted to have a surprise ending to this magic trick that the magician was not expecting and thus is surprised. Perhaps I was the most surprised when making tiny eyelids was quite an undertaking. I stretched raw hide over 3/8″ wooden balls and then sanded down the (eye)balls so the lids would slide easily. Not an easy task, but I like the results!“

Cecilia Schiller hat sich eine schmucke Scheune in einer sehr ländlichen Gegend in der Nähe des Superior Lake zu einem Atelier ausgebaut, allerdings im hohen Norden von Wisconsin. Zur nächsten AutomataCon am 17. -19.Mai in Morristown, NJ, jedoch hat man die Gelegenheit ihr persönlich zu begegnen, denn sie ist Teilnehmerin. Es ist nur ca. 60 km westlich von New York City.
